DWTS ~ Story Dances

Tuesday, October 5, 2010 By Sherra

I heard Michael Bolton got his feelings hurt from Bruno’s comments last week. I’m pretty sure that having thick skin should be a contract requirement when you sign up to do the show. I’m also pretty sure he doesn’t have thick skin.

Very glad he’s gone this week!

My frivolous comments in dance order…

Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough – It did seem a little clunky but I still really like to watch them.

Florence Henderson & Corky Ballas – I don’t think I could hold up one leg and get spun around 3 times. Go Florence!

Kurt Warner & Anna Trebunskaya – 6’2″ and 200 something and some kind of handsome. Hated the hands in pocket skipping moment but otherwise he’s just nice to look at.

Margaret Cho & Louis Van Amstel – Is there a reason they can’t get a flesh colored garment to match her skin? Her effort and concentration does show on her face. She really lost the beat midway and never got it back.

Audrina Patridge & Tony Dovolani – She’s “not used to getting her emotion out and showing it” with this story dance? Isn’t she the one who burst into tears about her boyfriend missing her? Whatever. But I am a sucker for a man in a uniform and they looked beautiful together minus the excessive smoke.

Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas – A giggling teen activist gets on my last nerve. In spite of that, her face shows how hard she is trying but she’s so tense.

Brandy & Maks Chmerkovskiy – Maks did appear to be a tough teacher and his ego must be hard to deal with. He’s still nice to watch. She’s not winning me over.

Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer – Did she really say, “Who are The Eagles?” How sad is it that they threw that song out? Wow, there is a generation gap here. Coffee shop waitress in a sequined bra and apron? Perhaps another generation gap. The kid dances to entertain and he is sweet to watch.

The Situation & Karina Smirnoff – Did she actually call him “Sitch” during rehearsal? I just can’t like him. That was a foxtrot? Too weird for me.

Rick Fox & Cheryl Burke – Super hot.

My personal favs are still:

  • Jennifer & Derek
  • Kurt & Anna
  • Rick & Cheryl
