Gee, I think I'm glad that I don't watch "The Bachelorette." I need to keep my brain cells, weak though they are. Once kids are out of the house they really are OUT of the house. For some reason it just takes a long time for them to grow up and snap out of it---sometimes until they are earning all of their own money and paying all of their own bills (yes, that includes cell phone contracts and auto insurance---no family plan subsidies). This is to be expected but not enjoyed and it will pass (or so I've been told---mine don't stay home either and I'm often happy when they don't. There goes that "Mother of the Year" award for the gazillionth year running).

Okay I promised myself I would watch to see how this Virginia Tech grad was embarrassing my state and to leave an intelligent yet witty comment on your post..HOWEVER watching it was so gruesome I had to take a couple of breaks and tune in something less traumatic so I switched between The Bachelorette and Dr. G , Medical Examiner which was definatly less brutal and at least didn't suck all my brain cells out.
OMG..her laugh was driving me crazy, I would tell all the guys..run, run while there is still time to escape..otherwise you will be listening to that laugh for the rest of your life.
And Ali..trust me ..in a few years watching guys wrestle in olive oil will not be nearly as "hot" as having them make you dinner with a little olive oil in the recipe.
Will tune in next week ..have to see how this train wreck will end...Perhaps Ali can end the misery for everyone by joining a convent....I see Jake finally wised up and dumped the tramp...sorry it is WAY too hot here and I am WAY too cranky!

Having lived through the visits home with my own children, that weren't really visits with me....but rather a place to land and have the laundry done (ok, so I know that's not your house)...I can say that it does get better, over time. More time is
e v e n t u a l l y spent in their own house, with their own family....I totally understand your frustration (I think that's what it's called).
On to TV. Ridiculous. I can't believe there is nothing better to watch during the summer than this crap. It is an absolute joke, and so disappointing. I feel bad for the poor guy that ends up with her, although the travel to all these cool places has been an added perk that most groups haven't gotten. Were they evicted from the house? Revamping it for an ALL NEW and better season ahead? Goodness, they need to do something. I am ready to puke!
