@Diane Henderson: Your comment made me think I really should post some of the fashions to show how cool I was…NOT! Boys are at least easier, usually, in the fashion department!

@Teri: My blouse was actually light blue and pink and I'm going to dig for a picture so the girls can see how groovy I was.

@Ann: You know what fashion plates they are but I'll be sure to take picture at the banquet next week so you can see for yourself…

@Tina: That tiny waist is but a fleeting memory. It is hard to believe that I was really her size back in the day. BIG SIGH!

@Rhonda: Yes, so much $$ we might have saved but who has the room to store all those *fashionable* clothes we owned and schlep them across the country during our many moves? Besides, you know they wouldn't wear them only because they were ours first!

Oh Sherra, can you just imagine the money we would save on our kids wardrobe had we just saved our OWN 1970's/80's stuff? I could have a wonderful month long vacation in Europe. However, Roger Leroy is cute and even cuter in the black shirt.

Okay, THAT was a hilarious post! You crack me up...that blouse WAS in my closet in the 80s, thus proving my theory that there really aren't landfills per se. I think that it all goes to one big thrift store and they redistribute it to the masses, getting $ multiple times...they just dole it out slowly over a period of years so that "we won't notice." HA! What SHERLOCKS WE ARE! ;0)

I'm with you in the uncool and unfashionable catagories!
Honestly, I have 3 kids, I am about to be 40 and I am 10 - 15 pounds overweight. Who has time?
I find it funny that what my 16 year old likes now and has in her closet looks very similar to what I had in my closet in the 80s. I remind her all the time that that means I used to be cool.
My youngest (4) also has the all pink wardrobe. Not only is it all pink but it is all dresses. It would cause a national crisis if I suggested wearing a pair of pants!
Isn't it fun parenting girls?
Boys are so much easier!
