Here’s the new cool way to smoke but keep your kid safe from your secondhand smoke.

Be sure to crack the window so your baby knows you are still right there.
But blow your smoke away from the car out into the open air.

The new generation of parents take their children’s safety very seriously. It’s all about setting a good example for your children when mom and dad smoke.

After all, “Do as I say, not as I do” has been a time-honored parenting tradition forever. And successful, too. Wanna bet that toddler refrains from tobacco (let’s pray it’s only tobacco—did you sniff the air?)?
Oops! Sent too soon. The mother is probably from CA. We have a law here that you cannot smoke in a car if you are carrying a child under the age of 16—even if it is your own child. The police can stop you, ticket you, and even call Social Services to remove the child (that may be in one of those “not tobacco” cases, though “it” is more accepted than tobacco here—it’s even on the 2010 ballot to legalize it, probably to help us with the massive state financial deficits). Anyway, she was probably just following CA law though she was in GA.
