Hey, I am weighing in on the name problems, OK, so I am a little behind on your blog, I work you know. My dear MOM decided I was going to be named Dana, whether I was a boy or girl, go figure, I was a girl so she came up with putting a "Y" in it to make it a real girl name (whatever) So I became DAYNA, sounds pretty easy to pronounce, right. DAY-NA, DUH!!. I cannot even begin to tell you what I have been called. Diana, Dyna, Dena, Donna, Donya, Danya (whoever heard of that!)anything but DAY-NA. Oh well, I grew to like my unusual name, back then I was the ONLY one in school. Just call me Dee.

@Steff: I'm sure Roger Leroy will give her a ride in the back seat!

@Wendy: Driving is SCARY - I don't think it's the cars though as much it is the drivers and all the distractions…especially here where we live!!

@julieann: If she even gets close to saving $60K and then buys a car with it, I have failed as a parent and have not passed on my bargain shopping skills. Then again, maybe I've already failed because we're still working on the saving ANY $$ skill!!!!

Google the Tesla. It's a hybrid sports car that was supposed to be manufactured here in Silicon Valley, but is on hold, waiting out the economy. I think RogerLeroy can pick one up for around $60,000, which I'm sure she's saved from her "upscale market" job.

Sorry to be a buzz kill here, but don't forget to think about the safety of these vehicles. A young man from our high school was driving a Honda Fit on the expressway last Tuesday (remember how windy it was that day) and the wind literally blew his car into the median and he was seriously injured. I say buy them all tanks until they have the skills to handle a small car.

Oh, that's the first I've heard of the VentureOne, but Kaitlyn LOVES the Smart Car. I think I first saw one of those on St. John, and then she saw them when she was in Paris and has been obsessed with them ever since. She was so excited when she started seeing them in the US. Wonder if she's seen the VentureOne...I'll have to send her over to see Roger Leroy's when she gets hers! :-)
