P.S. Did you watch the Superbowl?

Even non-football fans had to hear about what an amazing game it was!!!!
I have a tendency to root for the underdog unless a favorite team is playing. This year it was unanimous at our house – we all cheered for the New York Giants. That fourth quarter play when Eli Manning broke free and completed the pass to David Tyree made them winners in my book right then. Ahh, but then they scored the winning touchdown moments later and it was one of the best, if not the best Superbowl ending that I can remember.

Back-to-back Manning brothers Superbowl victories has to be so sweet for their whole family. What an amazing story for the history books.
Side note: Do you think the assistant principal ever called their mom? Just curious…
Our local grocery store was out of Carvel football cakes. Did all you local people go buy one after my post on Friday?
Scary Baby was disappointed but she managed to eat enough Ritz® crackers, squirt cheese and cheetos to compensate for the missing cake.
The raspberry double decker Knox Blox were scrumptious.
Funny how a silly little thing done while you’re single with a few goofy friends becomes an unbreakable family tradition.
The silly things can become the important things. Sometimes our simple traditions are exactly what we need when things get stressful…

Did the assistant principal ever call their mom?? Hmmm…no, I believe you were passed directly to the principal.
As for the teens…I went the dog route so I can’t help. Unless you can rub their nose in it and banish them to a crate??? If all else fails, bring out the coconut!!
We watched (well, I have to admit, I was only watching the commercials) the Super Bowl and were also cheering for the Giants. Funniest moment at our house was after an Audi commerical- which our 3 year old (who we have called Crazy Baby since she could crawl) was watching intently. When it was over, she turned around, made a face and said “Now, that was weird!” Funny part was she was right- it was the strangest commerical I had seen in quite a while. Out of the mouths of babes!
Teens, can’t live with them and can’t kick them out!
I have two of them as well as a toddler! What were we thinking?
The calls from the principal are difficult- yes, I have had 2. Makes you wonder if they have listened to anything you KNOW you have taught them-over and over. Just remember, teens are not capable of making good decisions- it is just chemically impossible with the hormones, etc. racing through them. However, just because they can’t use rational thinking now, doesn’t mean they never will. I am sure you are giving them a sturdy foundation to live on and to become responsible, capable, GOOD citizens in the future.
