Please tell me that the origin of that cake was from someplace outside the continental US. I’d hate to see my good southern friends living up to the stereotypes that the western half of the country has about them. In the Lexington,Kentucky area there really is a fast food restaurant (complete with drive-thru) that serves possum and squirrel. Been to the parking lot, but did not venture inside.

Oh my gosh – YUCK!!!! I promise I will NEVER make you a pork and beans cake for your birthday or a pork and beans anything!! Wonder if there were chunks of lard floating around in the cake too just like the can of beans!
