All I am going to say is that with or without alcohol you look like an idiot if you go to a concert in overalls and tidy whities! Plain and simple!

Seriously though, I also do not drink and I find it really makes others that do uncomfortable. We went to visit my husband’s family and we are talking big drinkers here! They kept offering me one type of alcohol after another - even offering to go and get me something at the store. It made them very uncomfortable that I would not partake in their “fun”. My daughters were quick to catch on and realize that these people that they had just watch drink various amounts of alcohol all got into cars and drove to their various homes. My oldest made another leap when one of the teenage girls announced she was expecting. My daughter’s response, “What did you expect? Her parents let her drink with them. Why would she think sex was off limits?” I realize that some may find this harsh but that was one teenagers view.

Personally in our home, I tell my girls that if they choose to drink that they choose to forfeit their control. Praise God, so far we are still a dry household!
