@Tammy--Disclaimer on PhilBillPaul throwing scoresheet at us. We were all laughing and are used to it. :) We'll have to try the card game!

@Joanne--Intense Scrabble players can remember the score of their highest word, that game back in _____ and what everyone's score was. I think it's one of those love it or hate it games and we do love it too! Way to go on finally beating your dad!!!

@Leigh Anne--Ooooh, sounds like you would be fun to play Scrabble with. I'm sure you can cater a whole event in between words because it must be the slowest game on the planet for you. ROFL

Our family favorite right now is Ticket to Ride followed by Qwerkle, Settlers of Catan and Five Crowns! And just for the record - I hate Scrabble but my husband loves it.

Scrabble is a HUGE game in our family. I didn't beat my dad until I was 30! I still have the score sheet to prove it. I almost beat him when I was 24 but I ended up losing by 1 point. I should have challenged him on the word he put down. Live and Learn. My 8 year old son loves to play now and there is none of this Scrabble Junior going on. He plays the REAL game (with some help from his Dad).

We also play Aggravation, Clue, Monopoly and Chutes & Ladders.

One quick question: How is it that women have evolved so much over the years but men still retain their cave-man like behavior?

If you enjoy scrabble, get crazy and get the card game Scrabble Slam. Fast paced and fun this game is a combo between Scrabble and War where the first one out of cards is the winner. Of course, it might be a bit too competitive for those slow spellers and the crankiness of the losers may be too much for the winner to endure!
