I REALLY enjoyed the apple fritter that ya'll brought back from the orchard the other day. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water. I kept convincing myself that it's healthy because of the apples. c: Thank you so much for letting me taste some!

You are totally making crave some sweet apple dish. (It would be silly to crave something healthy, right?!?!) I love fall! It is my favorite season! I adore the cooler temperatures and the knowledge that the holidays are rapidly approaching. There is so much to love I can't just pick one thing!

Just found your site through HomeBasedMom so I'll be sure to keep checking back. We live in Northern Illinois so I was quite surprised to read your favorite orchard is in Poplar Grove. Every year the kids and I go with grandma to Royal Oaks Orchard in Hebron, Illinois. The kids love picking the apples and the apple cider donuts!

@Kerri: Are you kidding? Do I remember those "reject" donuts??? YUM!!!! I remember we the lady would give us a sack of "rejects" which is really what they called them and they were hot and crunchy and better than the actual donuts! Great memories! :)

I love to have a bonfire on a cool, sunny day. It lets us extend our Michigan summer (or at least pretend) for one more day. It's been too rainy so far, but this next weekend looks like it might be my time!

On a side note from long ago - remember when we used to hang out at the cider place just waiting for the scrap donuts? How many of those did we eat??? Man, they were good!!
