It looks like you really hit it on the head with this one. What I find really frustrating is when things come home from the school, from a teacher no less, wrong! The other day I saw a sign that said, “Now excepting donations…” OMG!

Thought I would enlighten you about my chosen profession. I type medical records and you cannot believe some of things that come my way. We have one particular doctor who routinely spells “asymmetry” as “assymetry”, REALLY, I am not kidding. You would think 13 years of college they might include spelling 101 in the mix, LOL. ( I guess those double consonants can be tricky)

Hello! Finally someone else shares my passion for grammar. What a blessing! I stunned the cashier at Publix just yesterday when he asked how I was and I answered, “Well, thank you.” He then went on to tell me how his sister was an English major and was always all over him about using proper grammar. I can’t imagine why!!!

We aren’t alone in this battle. Keep torturing your kids by making them write correctly – or should i say right write?
