@Betty-I know the look you are describing. I assured people that was not what we were wearing in those years we homeschooled. To each his own, right? ;)

Scary baby looks good compared to the models. I went to school with a set of triplets ~ 2 boys and a girl ~ Larry, Jerry, and Sherry. They were of a conservative religion that would only allow Sherry to wear long skirts and would not allow her to cut her hair. The model looks much like Sherry and her family. Now I know how Princess Leia's hair was done.

@Melinda--You are so practical. It took them a long time to grow their hair and I don't think they could part with their signature ponytails.

@Tammy--Yes, but was yours SIX CENTS???? It's a REAL bun - geez, I can't believe they called you out on it being a fake magic bun. The director obviously didn't understand the MAGIC part!!!

@Sally--Great tip on the ponytail first. I can't wait to see them try to use them. Though if any pink shows they will probably get in big trouble. Scary Baby wants that Bump It. That cracked me up too.

We also have a Magic Bun at our house due to dancing. Just a little hint: we always put the hair into a ponytail first and then roll up. Have you tried going on You Tube to see if anyone offers a demo? When we just purchased the Bump-its a couple of months ago that was a great resource for us. I swear we have every hair device that was ever made. Most only used once or twice but the Magic Bun has definitely been one of the best! Good luck soldier girls!!

I so couldn't resist posting a comment because several years ago we were proud owners of a "Magic Bun". My daughter was a dancer and I just couldn't get the hang of the whole bun thing. She had hair that was a bit thin and very straight. After putting it into a bun in the traditional way I always felt like I had wrestled an elephant only to end up with a bun the size of a quarter and sloppy at that! The magic bun saved us! That is until the director informed us that she would need to wear a "real bun" for productions. What isn't real with a magic bun, I ask? Looks like a bun, swirls like a bun, stays like a bun...anyone? Add a hair net and you are golden as far as I am concerned!

Glad to know the resource for a new one should we have a burning desire to Magic Bun ourselves one day in the future! You are always so sweet to share!
