Freeze at the Humpfreeze

Mini life update from the Humpfreeze house…

Flooded basement from all the rain.

PhilBillPaul has been sucking up gallons of water for over a week.

Rain turned to snow.

Blizzard in Atlanta. FOUR INCHES OF SNOW. (In case you didn’t hear.)

Okay, maybe it was more like two inches.

Scary Baby loved it! Poor southern snow-deprived child.

I want to move to Hawaii.

The Pumpkin has been sick for a week. We hope it’s not mono.

The darling twins and I have to discuss and review our favorite comedy TV show {The Bachelor} long distance now. They are settled and doing well in Arizona.

The Olympics are on and I have to watch all these winter sports I never watch except when the Olympics are on.

Thanks Karen for the heads up on my favorite Oompa Loompa who will be competing on Wednesday!

Straight from his website…

Louie will line up at the top of the superpipe among all of the snowboard Olympic athletes on Wednesday February 17th for the 2010 Winter Olympic Halfpipe finals. The event will be televised LIVE on NBC beginning at 8PM PST.

Obviously, I’m booked solid this week. Are you watching the Olympics? What’s your favorite event?

Yes Sherra..Hawaii is much better this time of year. I know because 26 years ago yesterday we were stationed there and I had my daughter Julie on Valentines Day! I always think of the Olympics because it was so nice to watch the figure skating without the running commentary of “its boring” from my hubby. Holding my little newborn I thought maybe it was an omen and Julie would become a figure skater…NOT..she is an emergency room nurse so she tends to those of us who are now figure skating whether we want to or not on the icy pavement and also to those men who think they can finish the driveway faster if they just put more snow on the shovel..NOT again. Wish I were back in Hawaii…sigh

    Sherra,
So happy to help out with the Oompa Loopma sighting! I love watching figure skating, skiing and snowboarding is growing on me! I grew up just an hr from Vancouver on the US side:) so know many who are attending events. Would have FREE lodging but we didn’t act on getting tickets when they did the lottery. I’m watching tape delayed when it’s in my time zone and wishing I was there!

well I watched the opening ceremony, does that count? I actually recorded it for one of the girls. Can’t say that I’ve seen anything since though, sad to say. We are just too busy to sit in front of the tv (HA! I wish) actually my hubby controls the remote and he watches over things so oh, well. Guess I could record the events and watch them the next day but I so seldom do what I plan to do, it doesn’t make sense to do that. Would probably conflict with something he’s recording (as he watches) anyway.
We got about 4 inches down here in Snellville. If you were on Facebook you would have seen my beautiful snow pictures. (you missed my birthday again you know) HA!
