Flexible Friday #6 Survey Says
I’m still traveling but through my highly advanced technology skills the internet, I am able to post from the comfort of my beautiful hotel room in sunny California.
A big thank you to my regular readers and subscribers for being flexible while I’m out of town.
If you’re visiting here for the first time and you were part of the lovely audience at the conference I spoke to, I’d love to get your feedback!
It should come as no surprise that I have three quick, easy questions for you.
1) Did I provide you with practical, useful information?
2) Did I make you think differently about anything?
3) Did you laugh? (or at least smile?)
Of course, I’d also love to know three things you took home from the conference. The more details, the better!
Throw in any suggestions for improvements, topic content, etc.
And anything else you care to share.
Come on, don’t be shy leave a comment below or if you’d like to keep it private, just click here to contact me directly.
Right here, right now, please let me hear from you! Let’s keep in touch

Sherra-I thought you were fabulous, fun and informative, and you were a great “break” in both days of the conference. Information is so hard to always digest in large quantities, so your segments were “well placed”, in my opinion. I am sure that I speak for many……
Okay, I wasn’t at the conference but I can still answer your questions simply based on the fact that I have been blessed to hear you speak numerous times – to a crowd and just to me…
1)Yes, you always have practical information and ways of looking things that help to make moving forward in a positive direction much easier.
2)You always give fresh ways to apply skills (some of which we already knew about but didn’t know how to act on) to increase your business and your self.
3) Of course they laughed! You are one of the funniest people I know. And if they didn’t laugh than perhaps they were in a trance focusing on implementing all the motivational and savvy ideas you had already given out to them.
By the way, I am open to being your personal bag carrier should you need an assistant while traveling the globe…Travel safely and enjoy the sights!
Hey there…yes, I saw you at Runway and you did make me laugh, which really helped to push down the motion sickness I had the whole trip
1.Very useful and practical info…I loved the list of 33!
2.Lessons on involving my husband in his love language…surprised? I have a 3 year old and 5 year old and just have never given it that much thought, but you’ve got great ideas and I can tell it is from the heart of experience that you speak!
3.Again, I did laugh and smile quite often!…even when you corrected the girl at my table that commented “oops”.
Sherra,
I loved having you speak at our Runway Conference. Thanks so much for everything that you shared. Here are the top three things I took home with me from your talk:
1. Loved the list of 33 things. Practical, useful tips. Like you said, we may have heard them 300 times, but sometimes you need to hear it at the right time.
2. Quit worrying about being balanced in my life. I’m never going to be balanced. There will be times that I spend more time on my business. There will be times when I need to spend more time with the kids. Oh, and that husband stuff, too. Yes, he likes the thought of me doing LOTS of shows.
3. Don’t take everything so seriously. Laugh often. Have fun. If it’s not going to matter in 20 years, it doesn’t need to matter so much now.
Again, thanks for sharing with our group.
Nancy » Thank you, thank you for the kind words – it is always my goal to have nuggets you can take home and use after a conference without feeling overwhelmed!
Tammy » Forget personal bag carrier, I’d rather hire you to be my P.R. agent!!!!
Ivey » I hope “Surprise” as an alternative to “oops” was taken in the spirit in which I meant it as well as the little lesson on your husband’s love language. I do personally know with a 3 year old and 5 year old that you are faced with some creative challenges in this season of your life. So glad you laughed and thanks for visiting my site!
Jennifer » It was a lot of fun for me to be there and have such a receptive audience of like-minded women! So glad you took home some good tips and I hope you will kick off your business with many shows both for your personal success and your husband’s benefit as well!
1. You reminded me of the old adage I firmly believe in “Laughter is the best medicine” You made me laugh last week and the other times I have heard you speak. I enjoy your insight and sense of humor.
2. You reminded me of what to do when people don’t call back. The first time I heard it I laughed, and I did try it because it drives me nuts when people didn’t call back! With my new business I’m telling people from the get go with calls and e-mails or whatever. “It’s ok to tell me that you’re not interested ” and to say just not now or not ever so I know. I don’t want people to think that they’ll be hurting my feelings if not interested.
3. I appreciated what you said about NOT trying to do it all! I will not compare myself to other “super women” who appear to have it all together.
If I had gone up at the conf. to tell my 3 things, they would be…
1. Tell EVERYONE I meet what I’m now doing
2. Keep list after list of ongoing interest, new people I think of, people to re-aquaint with etc. Lists, lists, lists!
3. Meet people where they are at. Not everyone wants to come to a home party or host one. Be available for someone to come and try on clothes whenever!
Thanks again Sherra for sharing with us. I have gone on your blog several times and will continue to catch up on what I’ve missed. Everytime you refer to your kids w/ their code names and your husband as PhilBillPaul, it makes me laugh. As you can see, it doesn’t take much to amuse me.
Also, Thx for you call
Karen » Thanks so much for the feedback. Hope you’ll subscribe to the blog and keep visiting. Do people return your calls now that you leave an “action message”? Wishing you much success in your new venture!!
About that PR position, is it a paid position or just filled with the perks of traveling and eating the way you keep describing on the site? Either way, I am in!
