@Kerri: I’ve looked back and can’t see a time I’ll ever use the word ‘demurrage’ but it’s nice to know that we’ll both be ready should the opportunity present itself!! Wait, I just realized I can use it right now…The demurrage could delay the delivery of our box of money indefinitely. So sad.

@julieann: When the box comes, I will have rolls and rolls of quarters for the Aldi carts. So much to look forward to. I’ll contact Clark when the box arrives.

@Karen: I have a feeling that we are both lucky and there are TWO big boxes of cash coming from the FedEx Courier Company. Let’s see who gets their box first and maybe we can coordinate a group celebration!

I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but I responded to the exact same e-mail BEFORE your husband did, and I am expecting MY big box of cash any time now. I assumed Mrs. Evans meant “3 month cruise” instead of “3 month course,” so I have no trouble accepting her generosity, since she obviously has enough! I’ll keep you posted…

At the very least I expect to be invited for a dip in the new hot tub or to join you in your weekly massage. Did you, by chance, pass this notice of your “good fortune” on to Clark Howard? I’m sure he’d like to meet with you at a local Aldi store (where you could both get in your last bargain shopping trip) and film you opening your special package.

My favorite part of the letter is that they can’t even string a sentence together properly but they know the word ‘demurrage’. Thanks for looking that up – saves us all a lot of trouble.
