Happy Halloweenie to one and all!
Did I ever show you what the wiener dogs were last year?
Sabu was ketchup. Dudley was mustard.
You would think I would know how to fix the red eye but I think it’s a nice Halloween effect…SCARY wiener dogs!
I want to hear what your kids are dressing up as.
I want to hear if you dress up? Does your husband dress up?
What’s your Halloween plan?
I’m not nosey, I’m just interested.
Come on, indulge me so I can get some ideas for a last minute costume for PhilBillPaul…
…who has never dressed up in the 21 years we’ve been married.
I wonder if I could get him to dress up if I let him wear his motorcycle helmet?
Here’s The Grunter and Roger Leroy trying on the lovely helmets and I can assure you that no teens were injured while wearing the helmets in my bedroom under close supervision.
Leave a comment and tell me what your family is doing for Halloween!
P.S. There is still time for you to click over to iLash Girls and enter for any one of our three different giveaways. Fun jewelry, professional coaching and a yummy triple treat! Hurry though – two are ending tonight at midnight PST.

I think the weiner dogs are great. My kids are going as Snow White and Darth Maul. I was going as the witch from Snow White but I have bronchitis. I’m going nowhere. My husband is going as a Dalmation. One year he and one of the kids as a baby were dalmations and I was Cruella. Last year we were all The Incredibles. Really it’s the only two times we did the family costume thing. My 7 year old son and I usually are the ones who want to be different. One year my husband was Tinky Winky – Imagine a 220 pound purple teletubby with a goatee showing up at your door!
We still get together at my mom’s house for all the festivities because it’s also my nephew’s birthday. He’s 12 this year. I had him convinced for years that people handed out candy and dressed up just for his birthday. Now he expects real gifts.
Frankly I think the motorcycle gear IS PhilBillPaul’s costume. Put on a little of George Thoroughgood’s “Born to be Bad” (being careful to keep the visor down to cover that nasty scar) and let him pass out candy to the neighborhood kiddies.
One of the best costumes I ever saw on a guy was this:
He was wearing jeans and a casual jacket with Barbies tied all over it.
He was a ‘chick magnet’.
Maybe it’s just me, but I thought this was hilarious!
Since today is my youngest daughter’s 14th birthday Halloween is always a great day. This year her dad is taking her and two of her friends to a haunted house. As I am a big scaredy cat I will not be joining them. I am assuming that they are going to scream ear drum bursting bellows and maybe even wet their pants. All in all, it should be a great night! Hope you and your gang stay safe!
We have gone through several costume ideas since last month and I am glad it is all over. We headed down to the town south of us for soup with friends and then the men took the kids out trick or treating. Just a very relaxing evening.
Glad to see you still reading my blog. Always appreciate your comments…thank you. Have a beautiful weekend.
Hee Hee! Great doggie costumes! Did you make them?
@Joanne: The visual on the purple teletubby made me giggle. Hope you got pictures of that!
@julieann: He’s really not that much fun – we let the big kids hand out candy and we went out to dinner.
@Kerri: Love that costume idea – PhilBillPaul on his motorcycle would really be the finishing touch.
@Tammy: I remember the screaming haunted house days and I’m way too old and grouchy for that adrenaline rush!
@Rhonda: My personal no-fun Halloween rules since the very early days. NO changing your mind after you pick your costume. I am seriously that MEAN!!
@Steff: That’s funny – me sewing. NOT. Especially after that quilted vest in Home Ec.
