Flexible Friday #17 Anniversary and
Etsy Shopping

Sometimes it’s still hard for me to believe 21 years ago on 10-10-87 I was that “sister who got married in the living room.”

Sorry Julie, but that’s still my most favorite way you introduced me to one of your friends.

But it’s true, today is our anniversary.

21 years ago “Poor” PhilBillPaul married me in spite of my many issues and never expecting to have to live with a woman who still shouts out coma
as an excuse a reminder as to why I’m behaving badly.

Side note: Please kindly remember that I was up for the Wife of the Year Award earlier this year!

He has a few issues himself though it’s probably not the appropriate time to highlight those here. Suffice to say I certainly wasn’t expecting to have to deal with his girlfriend.

So maybe we’re even.

Then again, maybe not.

I should at least take this moment to publicly admit that we have created
four pretty terrific kids and he cooks and cleans.

Happy Anniversary, Mr. Humphreys.

Our life continues to be a marathon and your ability to stay in the race and endure me continues to impress all those who know me and imagine what it would be like to live with me…

P.S. If you feel like shopping but don’t want the hassle of showering, getting all cleaned up, the car is out of gas and you can barely stand to see the prices at the pump…may I suggest hopping over to iLashGirls to checkout the Etsy Gift Guide and doing some virtual shopping at some great shops that are participating in October’s National Breast Cancer Awareness?

Be forewarned - cute stuff at reasonable prices!

What—no photos of the wedding in the living room? I’m trying to remember the hairstyles of 21 years ago. I can’t see you and PBP with “big hair!” Girlfriend or no, coma or no, you two still sizzle! Congrats! You’re giving the kids something to have to live up to.

julieann » I try to spare myself the pain of bad photos of me here…that’s the beauty of being the writer, editor and publisher of your own blog ;) Here’s the link to the ONE picture of the wedding I posted back in August. Scroll down and you will see that PBP’s hair was bigger than mine. Thanks for your kind words.

  • I wish scientists would come up with a way to make dogs a lot bigger, but with a smaller head. That way, they'd still be good as watchdogs, but they wouldn't eat so much.
