I had already seen the story last week right after the show and was saving the article for this week. A blog reader also left a link about it in the comments last week (thanks Dawn!) too.
Just in case you missed it, a very irate viewer actually shot his TV, threatened his wife with a machete and threatened to shoot one of their cows.
Why would the cow have to suffer (not to mention his poor wife!) just because he didn’t like Bristol dancing?
In his defense, he suffers from bipolar disorder and perhaps they should think about blocking the channel if it makes him this emotional.
Be sure to check out the story. By the looks of his mug shot, I’m pretty sure anything could have set him off.
You know I don’t love Bristol and haven’t been a fan from the beginning but her dancing did NOT create any rage with me.
A little perspective goes a long way, don’t you think? It’s a TV show people. Entertainment for those who choose to watch. Not everyone is a fan.

Even though I love, love, love to watch Maks dance, I was glad to see Brandy go. She didn’t win me over. She was just too intense. Kind of desperate to win. Perhaps hoping for a career boost? I don’t know – there was a disconnection with her over-the-top “I MUST WIN THIS” speech she gave every week and her eyes welling up about how she wanted needed to win irritated me.
Okay, on to the finale…
My frivolous comments in dance order…
Kyle Massey & Lacey Schwimmer – He has really brought his pure joy to the show so it’s easy to root for him! The kid wants to win. I’ll be delighted if he does.
Jennifer Grey & Derek Hough – She got perfect scores with both dances but I don’t think she has the win in the bag.
Bristol Palin & Mark Ballas – She is not the best dancer. She is not the most improved. But boy, oh boy, does she have some voting power behind her. I won’t be the least bit surprised if she wins.
All in all, the finale didn’t knock my socks off. Maybe I was distracted but I have enjoyed other finales in past seasons much more.
Still, I’ll tune in tomorrow to see who gets that coveted mirror ball trophy.
Side note: I think you will all be glad to know that I did not watch the Skating with the Stars show. Even if I do decide to watch it, I won’t be blogging about it!
Did you vote? Who did you vote for?

I really thought we cleared this up. I was hoping to read about something other than DWTS. It’s fine. I know its the finale now. Thank goodness.

I think you have to look very long and hard to find someone with as little personality and likability as Bristol the Pistol. I am truly frightened that she has made it this far on audience voting alone. Perhaps if her momma really does have this kind of base she will win the presidency??? Jennifer is certainly the best dancer but she is also difficult to like. If we’re looking at giving a career boost to the good guy, then Kyle has to win. Fortunately I don’t have to watch the broadcast to find out the winner. Since I’m on the west coast I just wait until 10:10 EST (7:10 my time), go online, and Google DWTS. By 10 minutes after the close of the show someone will have blogged about the unfairness of it all and I’ll know the results, thereby avoiding having to watch a shameless promo for Christina Aguilera’s new movie.
Okay..my one and only time I voted and I voted for Jennifer and Derek…yeah they won! I didn’t get to use all my votes or my hubby’s because I couldn’t get through. Otherwise I would have also voted for Kyle and Lacey.
The finale was WAY TOO LONG..I was getting bored.
And I have to disagree with Juliann..I think Brandy was a pain..as was David Hasselhoff…we’ll never know how she made it to the finals..who cares..I thought she did well under such pressure even though I thought her dancing was sub par.
I for one am glad the season is over…it was too long. Now on to more important things…like Turkey!!
