I’m writing this first part before I know who wins.
I did not like Erin and Maks on the bed. I did not know that doing flips on a bed counted as dancing. It was just a little too weird for me even though I’ve been rooting for them all season.
I did like Evan and Anna’s Footloose routine even though the judges didn’t. I thought it had as much energy as Nicole and Derek’s freestyle.
Sans the low, low riding pants that she actually tucked her fingers at the waistband and pulled DOWN.
TWICE.
Which I think should result in automatic disqualification.
Yes, that would be my new rule.
My mom noticed it and she doesn’t even have a DVR to back it up and replay it like we did several times because I was sure she didn’t do that while Brooke interviewed them. (Scary Baby was not present.)
She did. Super icky.
And the winner is…
Nicole – not surprised. She was absolutely consistent throughout. I’m just extra glad she didn’t wear her low rise pants for her last dance which was amazing.
Evan – class act from start to finish.
Let’s start a petition that no one who has dance experience as part of their career gets to be put in future seasons.
Now that dang Bachelorette show has started.
I hope the wardrobe folk will give her a dress that fits so Ali doesn’t have to adjust, tug, and pull on her strap 200+ times in the next episode.
My final thought
My mom has not appreciated my references to her in my recaps. She doesn’t particularly like my references to her in general. She says I am sarcastic.
GASP.
The 5 other blog-reading relatives will understand this and will “hear” this conversation my mom and I had.
From this point forward, I’m giving my mom a code name. Unless new readers dig into the archives, no one will know when I refer to my mom in this blog.

I have so enjoyed your comments about DWTS, too bad I fell asleep last night half way through and missed Jake and Vienna Sausage. Anyway, about the bachelorette, did you see the one guy who “shared” his nickname of “Shooter” and explained the meaning to Ali? OMG, did I understand what he was getting at, what with censoring and all? Was this suppose to endear him to Ali? Please ask your men folk if this is a character trait they all strive for, maybe I’m the odd duck, but I am thinking not so much, LOL. Looks like this will be the “most dramatic season ever” as they say. Can’t wait for your comments. Oh yeah, and Hi to Aunt Junebug.
I was disappointed, regardless, that Nicole won. Still was holding my breath for Erin and Max. I agree on the “dance experience” issue. That’s really the big reason I wanted Erin.
Also agree, BIG TIME, that Evan is a beyond CLASS ACT. Amazing guy.
My pick for next season dancer would be “Mark Consuelos”. Come on, he’d be fun and easy on the eyes (short however). And speaking of short, that poor Ashley (who had Buzz), goodness, she has had one lame contestant after another!
And about Junebug…I thought that she and I had a lot of the same opinions!
Sherra – sarcastic? NEVER!!!!!!!!!! tee hee hee – I think I saw your mom at the bank the other day. I was in the drive thru and I could see a lady standing inside at the teller line. Pretty sure it was her – I was going to honk and wave but didn’t think she would see me. I don’t watch DTWS either, did catch part of the Bachlorette – did the “Entertainment Wrestler” make it through the rose ceremony?
@cousin Dee–Ahem, if you refer to hear as Aunt Junebug people are going to know. LOL! Thank goodness Shooter didn’t make it through. Obviously the dating rules have changed if that was suppose to be an endearing and charming story. ICKY.
@nancy–You and Junebug could hang out anytime! If Mark got to dance would we have to see him dance with Kelly like we had to watch The Sausage dance with Jake even though she’s NOT on the show?!!
@Melodi–Shocking that my mother thinks I’m sarcastic, yes? I’m slowly recovering from the insult.
The “Entertainment Wrestler” did make it through and there’s a career that I’d want to support as his blushing bride. Too weird even if he says it’s big in Canada. Too weird for me.
